Meguiar's Pro Range: MT320 Dual Action Polisher Microfibre Kit
The second and final addition to the Meguiar’s Professional Range is the MT320 DA Microfibre Kit. Although similar in appearance – and once again intended for professional use only, the MT320 DA Microfibre Kit is designed for even faster paint correction and protection.
Why does it need to be even faster? For some industry professionals – including accident repair and fleet management – time really is of the essence when correcting and protecting paint, often on multiple cars every single day.
The Professional MT320 DA Microfibre Kit will bring clarity to paintwork in just tow easy steps, thus reducing the time needed without sacrificing the overall finish. Let’s take a closer look at the process involved…
Step 1. Correction Compound with the Microfibre Cutting Pad
Meguiar’s DA Microfibre Correction Compound utilises super-micro abrasive technology to quickly remove scratches, acid rain, swirls and other light to moderate defects on factory paint.
Designed for use with the Meguiar’s Microfibre Cutting Disc, the system delivers no sling, low dust performance for minimal prep and clean-up time, once again reducing the time needed for paint correction.
Firstly, prime the Microfibre pad using the Correction Compound turning the fibres from white to pink. This will keep the product from drying up during use. Feed the product into the pad and apply a small amount before use.
Spread the product in a small area with the machine set at its slowest speed. When the area has a small, even coating, stop the machine.
Set the MT320 to the required cutting speed (always use a test panel beforehand to determine which speed and pressure is needed) before working in a crosshatch formation, reducing your arm speed to be as slow as possible.
Once you’re happy the area has been suitably worked, simply use a clean microfibre towel to remove the remaining product.
NOTE: after each panel be sure to clean the pad with an airline or brush. This is a key part of using the Microfiber System, as cleaning the pad will remove dried product and stop the pad from clogging up.
Step 2: Finishing Wax with the Microfibre Finishing Pad
Meguiar’s DA Microfibre Finishing Wax utilises mild cleaners, polymers, silicones and carnauba to refine the paint surface after applying Meguiar’s DA Correction Compound resulting in a durable, high-gloss protection.
Designed for use with the Meguiar’s DA Microfibre Finishing Discs (provided), this system ensures a no sling, low-dust performance with just one pass needed to wipe off the product.
Application is very similar to the compounding stage, with the pad needing to be primed initially with the product itself turning the fibres from white to grey.
Apply the wax to one panel at a time; using a slow waxing speed to ensure each panel is suitably covered.
Allow the wax to cure (if your finger runs through it smoothly, it’s ready to be removed) before simply wiping it off with a clean microfibre towel.
Super-fast, super-easy and the same fantastic results you’d expect from a Meguiar’s DA system!
