REPORT: Meguiar's @ Players Show 10.0
With the awards collected and the champagne bar dry, it’s time to reflect on another incredible year for the Players Show team!
2016 was an extra-special year for Players as they celebrated their 10th anniversary of the show that started life as a few enthusiasts gathered at North Weald airfield.
Over the years the venue has always remained the same, but Players has grown to accommodate thousands of awesome cars from just about every scene imaginable. Monster horsepower drift cars? Check. Concourse-clean Volkswagens? You bet! We even spotted a 64 Impala lowrider, fresh off the boat from the States…
Above all else, Meguiar’s feels hugely proud to have been key sponsors of the show since day one, watching it grow into one of the UK’s must-visit events on the show calendar.
As expected, JayMac and Carl went in BIG for 2016 – filling the airfield with upwards of 1000 cars on display. Don’t be fooled in thinking these are all near-standard club cars, either. Just about every car selected was built to the highest standard and represented a specific style or scene including Euro, JDM, stance and more.
They also managed to bring together a wide selection of cars from across the whole of Europe, too! Something no other UK event can boast to the same scale of Players.
This is all made possible thanks to the passion and dedication of the Players team. Everyone involved is a die-hard enthusiast, heavily involved in the scene and building their own bad-ass show cars all year round.
The venue and attendance may have expanded over the years, but Jay & Carl’s priorities have always remained the same: to create a laid-back show for all car enthusiasts, hosted and ran by like-minded enthusiasts.
Over the next week we’ll be bringing you a selection of car spotlights from Players 10.0 including the Meguiar’s ‘Car Of The Show’ that is guaranteed to make your jaw drop! Until then, take a look at our Sunday gallery featuring some of our favorite cars on the day.
