We’ve hit that time of the year when the show calendar goes absolutely WILD. Just this last weekend Meguiar’s UK found ourselves attending no less than four events in two days, but with cool cars and some actual sunshine we say bring it on!

But it’s not just national events we get along to; Meguiar’s UK is keen to support a wide range of smaller events, individuals and tuners all of which we’re proud to call friends. One of those most locally to us is Leicester-based tuner MMR Performance, conveniently based @ Bruntingthorpe Airfield which comes in pretty handy when you’re making fast cars even faster…

The brains behind the operation is Max Marshall – a long-time friend and supporter of Meguiar’s who has spent the past few years developing MMR Performance from merely an idea into a fully-fledged one-stop shop for a massive range of car makes and models. With a BMW M1, M4 GTS, Audi S3 and even a Jaguar XJ220 (ok it’s his mums) on the demo car fleet, you know MMR Performance take things seriously.

Earlier in the month Max and the MMR team held an open day in conjunction with Pistonheads.com to invite a wide range of petrolheads from around the UK to check out the facilities. If there’s one thing the Pistonheads following doesn’t lack it’s diversity. We spotted everything from an Ariel Atom & Clio V6 right through to a Noble M600 parked up alongside some familiar faces from Regal Autosport, Riiva Design and Liberty Walk UK.

Aside from checking out the cool cars on display (and grabbing a burger or two) Meguiar’s handed awards out in conjunction with MMR to our top 5 cars from the day. Inside each MMR-branded goodie bag was a selection of Meguiar’s cleaning products including Wash & Wax, Perfect Clarity and Endurance Tyre Gel.

In typical British form the weather went from super-hot to super-cold in a matter of hours, but as seasoned veterans it was nothing an extra layer of clothing couldn’t fix! We had a blast checking out the cars on display and can’t wait until the next one, although there might be a certain BBQ happening shortly too… watch this space.
