Players Classic Preview: The Black Sheep RS500
In the run up to Players Classic on the 13th of June, we’re going to showcase some very special cars which will be on the Meguiars stand at the event.
It’s a show that brings out some fantastically unusual builds from across the country, none more unusual or special than this RS500.
The build, originally started by Cosworth tuning legend Martin Hadland of Reyland fame, is now in the care of Nicholas Prichard. You may already be familiar with Nicholas’ incredible attention to detail in his equally unique E90 M3 touring…
The Sierra started out it’s modification journey with Martin early on it’s life and was converted to 4×4 prior to 1991 when Martin used it as one of three RS500 wedding cars. Shortly after this it was sold on to a friend, the same friend later selling it back to Martin more recently.
In the time the pair spent apart the car had been re-shelled after an accident and was now Moonstone blue, not the original black. This was perfect for Martin as he set about recreating his ideal RS500, converting back to 2wd and adding modern tweaks to the old school Ford like an electric sunroof and air conditioning.

Nicholas now owns this incredible RS500 and has taken the build by the scruff of the neck, with a full repaint this RS500 is nothing short of perfect.
Come and check it out on the Meguiar’s stand at Players Classic and see for yourself!
