Steve Fraser gets hands-on with the Meguiar's MT320
The Meguiar’s MT320 is a revolutionary product. Never has it been easier to achieve professional results from the comfort of your own home, safe in the knowledge that your paint cannot be damaged by incorrect use (like a traditional rotary system). But making the jump to a DA system – irrespective of ease and safety – can be a daunting prospect if you’ve never used one before. After all, the right technique and application can be the difference between a good result and a great one!
London-based BMXer Steve ‘Fish’ Fisher is no stranger to the modified car scene, having previously built a show-winning Mk6 Golf and now the proud owner of an Audi S3 Saloon. Boasting Air Lift Performance suspension, Rotiform wheels and RS4 seats Steve’s S3 has already racked up the miles attending multiple shows throughout the UK this year.
Winter isn’t exactly the kindest period for car fans, but that makes it even more important to keep your car’s paintwork clean and protected – especially if you drive daily like Steve does. With this is mind, we invited Steve along to the Meguiar’s Detailing Bay to showcase our MT320 system – running through exactly how it works and the process involved for keeping your car’s paintwork fresh all year round.
Having never used a DA system before, Steve quickly picked up the MT320 taking full advantage of the new Digital Torque Management which electronically regulates and maintains the torque and speed during use. This ensures the best possible finish every single time. What’s more, by treating his Audi S3 to a full polish and wax Steve’s paintwork is now properly sealed for the English winter. So when it comes to show time next year it’ll require much less work to bring it up to show standard with minimal correction necessary.
